When I took the picture below I noticed for the first time the amount of damage insects can do. Some species of Chrysomelidae had eaten the entire plant apart from the leaf veins (is that the right term? I don’t know). The only thing that remained was a skeleton. A bit macarbe for sure (though very nice as a backrgound for a yellow ladybug). The culprits had already started eating the next plant, leaving only desolation in their wake. It turns out not only dragons are masters of destruction. Or maybe they are dragons, ‘Gold’ is in their name…
