The ladybug and the fig

I have a pretty small fig tree (though it resembles a bush more as it grows to the sides instead of up) that only caries a couple of dozen of leaves a year (I’m not mad enough to actually count them). The small amount of leaves is not a limitation however. Those leaves are big and thus provide very nice backgrounds, especially when they have turned yellow. Their green is not the best available, but hey, that’s what photo editing software is for isn’t it? At least it would be, if I could be bothered to use it more often…

I just love your photographs- I’ve never seen ladybugs in real life!

Thank you! In my part of the world, the ladybug is the only beetle people know the name of as they are seen the most (due to their red shield). Funny how these things differ :).

It is interesting isn’t it? I’ve seen so many photographs of ladybugs but can’t remember to have seen one in real life even when travelling. Next time I’ll look properly. The most common insect here must be the mosquito! LOL
